| Welcome to E-quations |
|
In 'E-quations' you'll find background information to help you understand what we're talking about in other parts of the website. This is what's known as 'hard science'. Not 'hard' as in 'difficult', but 'hard' as in 'hard facts'. It's what we actually know and can reasonably sure about. Some of the pages include maths and simple calculations. Sounds boring? Not so! Such 'hard knowledge' allows weather forecasters to predict storms, navigators to select the best routes, and whale-watchers to find whales. And these are just three examples! There are thousands more (not all here, of course). So give it a go! You may be pleasantly surprised. |
